Welcome to the ICOM Spec Design section. We at ICOM believe that seeing a finished website doesn't always tell the whole story about how a project goes from concept to completion. Building a site takes many steps, and sometimes those steps are as interesting or impressive as the final project.

So we've decided to include a spec designs section - a place where initial concept artwork, look/feel workups, and other artwork can reside. Some of these designs have made it to completion and others are still in progress or are purely speculative. All of them, however, are great examples of how we work and what we do!

		Eddies Aquarium Centre |See it! This is a spec home page layout for a possible Eddie's Aquarium site redesign. The site was intended to be heavily flash driven, with animation, sound effects, and lots of cool interactive extras. Features would likely have included a fish facts database, info pages, and an e-newsletter (see below).
		Eddie's Aquarium E-Newsletter|See it! As an addition to the Eddie's Aquarium website, we also planned and speculatively designed an e-newsletter. This would have been user-updateable and could have been mailed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
		RV Direct Redesign This is a spec design created for RV Direct, one of ICOM's long standing clients. This design featured flash menus, a site search, and multiple methods of site navigation. The intention was to create a site design that would be both visually appealing and as easy and efficient to use as possible.
		Daisy Fresh Cleaning Services|See it! A look/feel workup for the Daisy fresh Cleaning Services website. This was meant to be a relatively simple redesign project, and quick "facelift" design was proposed to brush up the looks of the site.
		Centro Bellezza|See it! A look/feel workup for the Centro Bellezza salon website. This was planned to be a small site with only a few pages. A "glossy" fashion-magazine look was chosen to emphasize the upscale flavor of the establishment.
		Hair & Body Essentials Day Spa|See it! A look/feel workup for the Hair and Body Essentials Day Spa. This was designed to incorporate flash menus and other interactive elements. The site was also designed to incorporate an e-commerce solution and various product and service listings.
		ICOM Multimedia Splash Site|See it! This splash site was an interim design for the ICOM company site. It featured flash interactivity and 3-D Computer Graphics. A portion of this design carries over into the site you're currently viewing!
		Dancin' Time|See it! This site was developed for Dancin' Time, a Clifton Park business which provides dance lesson and DJ services. The site included embedded video and sections for both dance lessons and DJ services information.
		Friedman and Molinsek Legal|See it! Designed for an area legal firm, this basic informational site featured custom graphics work.
		Mercury Pen|See it! This spec website includes a quicktime VR of a computer-generated pen on the home page. When completed, the site is intended to feature an e-commerce solution and high-tech features like 3-D graphics, QTVR's, and more.
